Our MC licence course is delivered on behalf of Raise Training (RTO 91655), a government-accredited training organisation.
Our instructors are industry-experienced drivers who focus on the skills you need to get employed.
We’ve been helping Aussies learn to drive since 2007 – which is why 85% of our students pass on their first attempt.
This driving school is such a professional and respectful company!
Chad was a absolute legend and helped teach me the skills of LR! He was so respectful, kind and professional!
I will 1000% recommend this school for your trucking needs! Thanks again to Chad, Ben and the team. Quality experience.

Step 1
To apply for an LR licence, you must have held a C licence for at least one year.
Step 2
Talk to a driving school (like us) to find out what level of training you need to get your licence.
Some students with prior experience can refresh their skills and take their driving tests in as little as a day.
Others may need several lessons over a number of days.
Step 3
Once you’re confident about your driving skills, contact us by phone, email or form to book your driving test.
You can also book your test before your training if you’re doing one of our Licence in a Day courses.
If you don’t already have a heavy vehicle licence, you’ll need to book a knowledge test through TMR too. You’ll need to get 8 out of 10 multiple-choice questions right to pass.
Step 4
On the day of your test, make sure you bring your current C licence. (If you have a temporary licence, you’ll need extra identification.)
Expect your LR practical test to take 25 to 35 minutes.
You’ll learn the skills you need for your licence at 5 Nolan Drive, Morayfield (around 45 minutes’ drive from Maroochydore).
It’s a purpose-built training facility operated by Major Training, one of Australia’s leading machinery course providers.
I recently completed my practical training with Tim to get my LR licence, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.
Tim was very polite, patient, and attentive throughout the entire process. Thanks to his guidance and support, I passed the test on my first attempt!
Highly recommend this company and especially Tim for anyone looking to get their licence.

Transport food, furniture, and other goods around hubs like Noosa and Maroochydore.
Enjoy strong hourly pay and time off during the school holidays by driving coaster buses for kindergartens and schools.
A light rigid licence can improve your chances of landing roles at aged care and NDIS facilities.
Drive customers and their luggage to and from Sunshine Coast Airport.
Getting an LR truck licence can help you work on sites that need both drivers and labourers.
With an LR truck licence, you can work in delivery and ground maintenance roles for the Sunshine Coast Council, Noosa Shire Council, or Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Make yourself competitive by adding an LR licence to your forklift licence and manual handling certificate.
Most students need 3 to 5 lessons to successfully pass their LR driving tests. Everyone is different, though. The easiest way to see how many you need is to book an introductory lesson with one of our drivers. They can then gauge your skillset and recommend a training plan.
Yes, you do. You can book and pay for your knowledge test at one of the Queensland government’s transport and motoring customer service centres. (There are 6 on the Sunshine Coast.)
To pass, you’ll need to get 8 out of 10 multiple choice questions right. As of August 2025, the test costs $28.70 (due on the day). Make sure you also bring proof of your identity.
If you don’t pass your driving test, you’re welcome to rebook at the next available opening. Because we charge for our instructors’ time and the use of our vehicles, we don’t offer refunds or free second attempts. Don’t worry, though – 85% of our students pass on their first attempt, so there’s a very good chance that you will too.
Your full course fee will be due around 2 weeks before your start date. We’ll contact you when it’s time to pay.
If you can’t attend your course/lesson, please call or email to let us know. Keep in mind that, under our terms and conditions, you may not be entitled to a full refund if:
